Each year TMC works closely with the Lions TT organisation to ensure the ongoing success of this festival, which now draws supporters and participants from across Australia and has become officially part of the Australian Motorsport Calender. As the 2015 year draws to a close, plans are currently in the making for our TMC Christmas Dinner and Drinks at Tattersall’s along with our last two rides of the year and our overnight escape weekend to the Bunya Mountains. On this note TMC wishes to sincerely thank all the fine team at Tattersall’s Club for looking after us throughout 2015 with their impeccable service, dedication and attention to detail at all times. A further thanks goes to Tattersall’s President Des Whybird, Chief Executive Dale St George, and Tattersall’s Club Committee for their ongoing support and recognition of the significance of our Sub Clubs. A kind note goes to Tattersall’s Committeeman Mike Alcorn, whom often joins TMC as a sign of support from the Club. Christmas blessings and warmest wishes to all families for a safe and happy festive season as we look forward to a Happy New Year in 2016. Amicitia Vita Est Tattler Summer 2015 49 Motorcycle Club This past quarter has been another busy period for TMC. Late August saw a strong turnout of Members and guests who headed south for our annual overnight weekend away to Tenterfield NSW. Our path down to Tenterfield was one of our most diverse and scenic routes. Kick starting at Tattersall’s Club, we headed down through Cunungra Valley, up across Springbrook, through Numinbah Valley to Murwillumbah, then up over the Border Ranges and into Kyogle for lunch. After a Northern Rivers steak we headed south from Kyogle to Casino and across the Girard State Forest Ranges, stopping at the historic Drake Hotel for the one traditional Tooheys Old Dark Ale. We arrived into Tenterfield late afternoon. Dinner that night was another highlight of the weekend, providing a great chance to reflect over the years of TMC with many laughs and a fine bottle of red....or two. Our return route home took us through Stanthorpe and into Warwick, across the plains to Kilarney, then climbed the ranges to Springcreek Cottages for lunch. The spectacular ‘top of the world’ panoramic view sets the ultimate scene for lunch and inevitably made departure for the final stage home very difficult. We have another weekend escape planned before the end of 2015 which will see us heading north west to the Bunya Mountains region. A special mention in this quarter goes to Peter Cullinan, brother of TMC Member Tom Cullinan. He travelled from Western Australia to collect his new Ducati and join us on the Tenterfield escape weekend, after a welcoming dinner a few days prior at Tattersall’s. Peter we look forward to you joining us again next year and at all other TMC occasions where possible. As a sign of appreciation for the July Tattersall’s Race Day support TMC hosted a thank you dinner for Laverda at Tattersall’s, which saw our two Clubs further strengthen a significant bond. Tattersall’s Wine Room provided the perfect setting to welcome Scott Kerr to our Committee chair as Events Manager with a memorable dinner that also marked the approaching 10 year anniversary of TMC. As a sign of recognition to all proud fathers at TMC and Tattersall’s, a Fathers Day ride was held on Sunday 6 September to Pit Stop Cafe on Mt Mee. A traditional Aussie breakfast was enjoyed while relaxing with sweeping views over the South West Hinterland towards the Lockyer Valley. For the second year running, TMC partnered with the Lions TT organisation to host a festival in Kyogle NSW. A strong turnout of motorsport enthusiasts enjoyed a weekend of festivities and entertainment for the whole family, which injected much needed capital into Kyogle and surrounding regions. Strongly supported by Kyogle, Richmond Valley, and Scenic Rim Councils the Lions TT celebrates the Historic Lions Road, which was President Edward Profke 0418 155 873 edward@egpmanagement.com Events Manager Scott Kerr 0427 444 577 scott@unionfleet.com.au Committee Bernie Orrock 0407 640 577 bernie@taskgroup.com.au Mike Wilson 0419 670 537 mike@wilsonaccountants.com.au Ed Profke FACES OF TMC – Meet the Members of The Motorcycle Club Team Hanlon: brothers Alex, Peter and Tony.
