Browning had a busy 2013, competing as a member of the Reds College XV in the IRB Pacific Rugby Cup, the Australian Under 20s at the Junior World Championship and playing for the Reds in Super Rugby trials and one regular season match. The youngster played for the Reds in a trial match against the Chiefs before making his Super Rugby debut off the bench against the Bulls of Pretoria in Round 6. He also captained the Queensland Reds College XV against Tonga A in the IRB Pacific Rugby Cup in early 2013. Browning was also recognised by his club side, University of Queensland, with a Blues Award – one of the highest accolades an athlete at the school can receive. Cooper now sits just 12 appearances shy of joining an elite group of players to have 100 Super Rugby caps for the Reds, while he also achieved the impressive milestone of 50 Tests for the Wallabies during 2013. He was again the guiding attacking force for the Reds in 2013, adding a further 172 points to his whopping career tally of 608, behind only Dan Carter (1547) and Peter Grant (819) on current Super Rugby rosters. With the current record for all-time Reds Super Rugby points held by Elton Flatley (629), Cooper appears certain to set a new benchmark in the early stages of the 2014 season.
