Neville committed to the club until at least the end of the 2015 season and is touted as a future Wallaby by many. The 25-year-old played all games from Round 8 onwards in 2012 and won both the Rookie of the Year and Matt Cockbain Rebel Rising Medal. He was then rewarded with a call-up to Wallabies extended training squad during the mid-season Test fixtures against Scotland and Wales, which continued into The Rugby Championship and end of season Spring Tour. Having now represented the Rebels on 25 occasions, Neville’s strengths are in his strong set piece skills and outstanding athletic potential; key areas the team is sure to utilise. He is also former representative rower at the Australian Institute of Sport. HUGH PYLE @hughwpyle Position: Lock Physical: 201cm/116kg Date of Birth: 21 September 1988 Place of Birth: Sydney, AUS Super Rugby Caps: 43 Super Rugby Points: 40 Super Rugby Debut: Round 3, 2011 vs Chiefs, Hamilton Test Caps: 0 Test Points: 0 Test Debut – Foundation Rebel Hugh Pyle’s third season at the club was no less consistent than the two prior as the giant lock continued to cement his status as one of the first picked every week. Pyle missed just two games through injury as he moved close to 50 Super Rugby appearances; all at the Rebels. Widely regarded as one of Australia’s most elusive and dynamic lock forwards, Hugh managed to score five tries in the 2013 season, more than double his previous best output. Pyle also holds the responsibility of calling the Rebels’ lineout, and that coupled with his ability to carry into traffic make the giant lock a huge asset for the club. The 25-year-old has been involved in Wallaby training squads already and holds steadfast aspirations to play for his country. An unassuming character, his calm temperament off the field is a major contrast to his formidable presence on it.
