A young schoolboy sensation at St Pius, Jones is the prototype modern forward. Tall enough to operate in the second row, he is also athletic and skilful enough to line up anywhere in the back row. He was a key player for the club’s Rebel Rising team during its debut season in 2011 and his performances throughout the campaign earned him the Rebel Rising Player of the Year Award to add to his schoolboy and Australian Under 20s honours. Jones was the first forward in Australian rugby history to sign a Super Rugby contract on professional terms as a schoolboy and spent one year at the Force in 2012 before heading east. Capable of playing on the wing or at outside centre, Kingston has scored six Super Rugby tries and has gained a reputation for consistently breaking tackles at extreme pace. Kingston attended St Aloysius’ College in North Sydney, but moved to Hong Kong as a teenager, where he spent five years playing for the Stanley Fort Rugby Club. Mentioned as a potential Wallaby when only 20 years old, Kingston will join forces with plenty of connections from his time at Sydney University, including Nic Stirzaker, Tom English and Angus Roberts. He made 10 appearances for the Waratahs last season, scoring two tries and ranking sixth at the club with an average gain of 5.78 metres.
