The powerful winger played three seasons with the Force, accumulating 12 caps, before taking up a contract with French club Biarritz from 2010-13. Haylett-Petty, who represented the Force against the British & Irish Lions last year, accepted a contract with Japanese club, Toyota Shokki Shuttles in 2013 and will return to Perth following the completion of their season. Born in South Africa, Haylett-Petty moved to Perth when he was 10 years old and ascended to the Australia A Schoolboys team and Australia U20. He shares the record for most tries in a single Junior World Cup match (4 vs Canada, 2008) with Kurtley Beale, Richard Kingi and Julian Savea. Despite his background in the midfield, Hayward’s presence was felt at fullback in 2013 after taking on the role in Round 9 and bringing additional speed and versatility to the backline. Hayward played eight matches in the 15 jersey and took on the goal-kicking duties, scoring 69 points for the season (17 penalties, 9 conversions). Prior to joining the Force, the New Zealand-born Hayward played two seasons each with the Highlanders (2009-10) and Hurricanes (2011-12), amassing nine and 15 caps respectively. His breakout came at the 2008 Air New Zealand (now ITM) Cup where he was voted Most Promising Player and Back of the Year.
