Despite reaching 190cm, Brache is an agile centre with a strong work ethic and brings a solid background in provincial rugby to the Perth club. He has four seasons and 41 caps of Currie Cup experience under his belt with Western Province, and has represented the Stormers at Super Rugby level, where he played in 2012. He represented the University of Cape Town in the Varsity Cup and is eligible for the United States on account of being born in Los Angeles.
