Born in New Zealand, Tomane grew up in Queensland and played schoolboys rugby with the likes of Israel Folau and James O’Connor. He represented the Melbourne Storm (2008-09) and Gold Coast Titans (2010-11) before joining the Brumbies in 2012. Big, fast and mobile, tackling Tomane in full flight is one of the toughest assignments in Australian rugby. Given a sniff of space, the speedster will make you pay either as an elusive finisher or linking with another back thanks to his silky skills. The first guy at training and usually the last to leave, it’s obvious that Tomane has a huge passion for rugby and works tirelessly to improve his game.
