Having represented South Africa at Sevens and Test levels, Kankowski’s skill set provides a wide range of offerings, and his devastating pace makes him a dangerous customer for the opposition. The rangy No. 8 made seven Super Rugby appearances for the Sharks last season, scoring two tries and forcing six turnovers. An outstanding solo performance that earned him Match of the Match honours in the 2010 Currie Cup Final set the tone for his ascension to fan-favourite status. Lambie was a precocious talent in school, captaining both the rugby and cricket teams in his final year at Michaelhouse in KwaZulu- Natal. He rapidly rose through the underage ranks before making his Super Rugby debut in Dunedin and Springbok debut against Ireland in Dublin. The talented youngster represented the Sharks on 15 occasions last season, scoring 171 total points (43 penalties, 17 conversions, 1 try, 1 drop goal).
