He subsequently played for their U19 team in 2008 and their U21 team in 2010. In 2011, Mnisi was included in the Vodacom Cup squad and made his debut against the Welwitschias. After failing to break into the Currie Cup team however, Mnisi joined Varsity Cup side NMMU Madibaz. He was included in the South African Students team in 2012-13 and was voted the ‘Back That Rocks’ for the 2013 Varsity Cup tournament. Mnisi had a trial with the Cheetahs in 2013, but joined Griquas instead. He will be hoping to build upon his solitary Super Rugby cap in 2014. He then progressed to the U21 side, playing for them in 2010 and 2011. The flanker made his first class debut when he had a loan spell at neighbors Griffons in the 2012 Currie Cup First Division game against Border Bulldogs. Mohoje returned to Bloemfontein and made 16 appearances for the Vodacom and Currie Cup teams. He also played for the UFS Shimlas in the Varsity Cup competitions from 2011-13 and in 2013, was voted the ‘Player That Rocks’ for the competition. He will be among the young Cheetahs hoping to break through for a Super Rugby debut in 2014.
