His bulk and athleticism will be a valuable asset to the squad in 2014. He has previously played for South Africa U19, U21, the Emerging Springboks and San Donà in Italy from 2012-13. Strongly built and with a bullet pass, Luiters first wore the Cheetahs jersey in 2011 but seniors such as Piet van Zyl, Sarel Pretorius and Tewis de Bruyn kept him out of contention for Super Rugby. But with the departure of Van Zyl and De Bruyn, Luiters could very well get his big breakthrough at Super Rugby level in 2014.
