The Manawatu prop was called into the squad late last year to cover for injury, however, is yet to play a Super Rugby game. Eves started his career with Manawatu ahead of its 2013 ITM Cup season and was named in the Maori All Blacks team to tour North America in 2013. BEN FRANKS Position: Prop Physical: 184cm/118kg Date of Birth: 27 March 1984 Place of Birth: Melbourne, AUS Super Rugby Caps: 98 Super Rugby Points: 20 Super Rugby Debut: Round 5, 2006 vs Chiefs, Hamilton Test Caps: 31 Test Points: 10 Test Debut 12 June 2010 vs Ireland, New Plymouth Playing his first year for the Hurricanes in 2013, Ben Franks was a valuable addition to the squad, possessing the ability to play on both sides of the scrum. As the older of the two Franks brothers in New Zealand rugby, the Melbourne-born prop made his All Blacks debut in 2008 and has since pulled on the black jersey on 31 occasions. Franks had previously represented New Zealand in the U19 side (2003), U21 (2005) and made his Super Rugby debut for the Crusaders in 2006 where he played until the end of the 2012 season. He is coming off another solid season in which he played 1124 minutes in 15 appearances for the team.
