The 24-year-old was a member of the New Zealand U20 team that retained the world title in 2010 and will play his third Super Rugby campaign in 2014. After being elevated from the Wider Training Group in 2013, Coltman has shown himself to be a powerful and abrasive hooker with great commitment and work ethic. He made 13 appearances for the Highlanders last season, winning 28 lineouts which was second only to Andrew Hore’s 63. Making his debut in Argentina’s U20 side in the 2012 Junior World Championship, Diaz impressed to retain his position the following year and was promoted to senior ranks. Joining the Highlanders as a tighthead prop in 2014, Díaz will look to further develop his understanding of the game and experience a new style of play in the Super Rugby competition. He moves to Dunedin from Teqüe Rugby Club, based in Mendoza.
