He will be in charge of the backline and defence with the Blues in 2014. SIR GRAHAM HENRY Position: Assistant Coach Born: 8 June 1946, Christchurch NZL Coaching History: Auckland Provincial Coach (1992-97) Blues Head Coach (1996-98) Wales Head Coach (1998-2002) British & Irish Lions Coach (2001) Blues Technical Advisor (2003) New Zealand Head Coach 2004-11 Argentina Assistant Coach (2012-13) Blues Assistant Coach (2013-) Sir Graham Henry has a long and illustrious coaching career. Henry was the first ever coach of the Blues in 1996 and since then has gone on to oversee Wales, the British & Irish Lions and the Rugby World Cup 2011 winning All Blacks, as well as consulting to Argentina in 2012-13. Henry was named IRB International Coach of the Year in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2011 and will be in charge of defensive strategy and leadership for the Auckland-based franchise in 2014.
