Robinson grew up in the New South Wales town of Dural on the northwestern outskirts of Sydney. He attended Glenorie Public School and played his junior football for the local Dural Rugby Club. Educated at the Kings School, Robinson is a former Australian Schoolboy and Australian U21 player. In 2012, Robinson brought up a century of New South Wales appearances and became the 163rd player to captain his state. Answering to the nickname ‘Cat’, he is studying for a Bachelor of Sport Business from Australian College of Physical Education and has a passion for breeding rare pigs.
