He made his debut in 2007 as a 21-year-old but a succession of injuries saw him enter the 2010 season with just a solitary cap to his name. Introduced to rugby in year seven at Richmond High School by his teacher at the time, Mr (Kev) Radley, Dave was honoured to earn his fourth international cap in front of Mr Radley and his wife Julie, who were among the 82,000-strong Allianz Stadium crowd for Australia’s third and final Test against Wales in 2012. Studying for a Graduate Diploma of Commerce at Sydney University, Dennis collected the prestigious Waratahs Players’ Player of the Year award in 2012. A Wallaby regular for the last two seasons, the 202-centimetre second-rower hails from Yamba on the Far North Coast of New South Wales. He began his rugby career at 15 when he joined the Yamba Buccaneers U15 to U17 Academy. Douglas quickly developed a dominant physical presence, representing his state at U17 level and playing for the Australian Under 20s team in Japan during 2009. The 23-year-old lives in the southern Sydney suburb of Cronulla and has a Diploma of Business Management from The Australian Vocational Training Academy and a Certificate III in Fitness from the Australian Institute of Fitness.
